Word 2010 Introduction

Learn shortcuts to change Views, set Line Spacing, create and reorder Bullet and Number Lists, and use the ruler to change Margins and Indents. You will learn to change the Default Font and Paragraph Spacing, and change Paper Size and Orientation. Learn to create and insert AutoCorrect entries and Building Blocks to quickly insert frequently used content, use Collect and Paste to capture content from other documents, and add Headers, Footers, and Page Numbering. You will also includes several quick keystrokes and selection techniques that will save you time and significantly increase your productivity in Word. (2 hour session)

Word 2010 Intermediate

Learn to set left, right, center, and decimal Tabs to properly align document content and set Tabs with dot leaders (dots) to align documents such as phone lists, menus, and event programs. Learn to layout documents using newsletter Columns, insert Tables to align content in columns and rows, and insert Excel tables when you need formula capabilities in your Word document. Learn to format tables to display visible lines that you can type on which are often used with forms. Learn to insert objects like shapes and pictures and position them to align with text or wrap around it. Word Introduction is the recommended prerequisite. (2 hour session)

Word 2010 Forms & Templates

Learn to create and edit Templates, add a shared Workgroup Template folder to provide specific users with access, and use Global Templates. Learn to organize Macros and Styles in Templates and create Building Blocks to insert Fields with Options. You will learn to design Forms with Tables, and Content Control fields such as Combo Boxes, Drop-Down Lists, Check Boxes, and Date Pickers. You will learn to modify and Protect and Unprotect Forms and Templates. Learn to Draw Tables to replicate a printed form in a Word template or document. Word Introduction is the recommended prerequisite. (2 hour session)

Word 2010 Mail Merge

Learn to set up the Main document (form letters, envelopes, and labels), create, select, edit and sort Recipient Lists, preview and Merge documents, Sort and Filter your data file, and perform Conditional merges to print specific letters, labels or envelopes. Learn to merge Email messages with Outlook Contacts, use If...Then...Else Rules, suppress blank address Lines, change output Case and date/time Formats, and use the Mail Merge Wizard. Word Introduction is the recommended prerequisite.

Word 2010 Advanced

Learn to apply and modify Styles, import Styles from other documents, use Numbered Lists with Styles, apply Table Styles, structure documents using the Navigation Pane, Restrict formatting, and Find and Replace special characters (tabs, spaces, etc.) and formats. Learn to generate a Table of Contents, Create an Index, insert Bookmarks and Hyperlinks, insert Section Breaks to incorporate multiple document formats (Margins, Orientation, and Headers and Footers) in the same document, and Insert Footnotes and Endnotes. Word Intermediate is the recommended prerequisite. (2 hour session)

Word 2010 Tips & Shortcuts

Learn to use the Show/hide tool to format documents and strip a document from its formatting in a single step. Learn to change Default Font and Line Spacing, quickly reorder Bullet and Number Lists, and use the Ruler to change Margins and Indents. Learn to create Building Blocks and AutoCorrect entries to quickly insert commonly used text and graphics, insert Page and Column breaks, and apply and modify Styles.  Several other tips and shortcuts are included that will save you time and significantly increase your productivity in Word. (1 hour session)
