What is Web Based Training?

Participate in a web based training seminar in the comfort of your own home on your own computer. The only requirements are Internet access and a telephone. Our web based training technology allows the instructor to temporarily connect to your computer. You watch and listen to the instructor demonstrate how to use specific features in the application. Once you register for a web-based seminar, you will receive an email with instructions about how to join the training session.

Tips & Tricks in Word [Register]

Everyone’s favorite. Learn the shortcuts to set line spacing, customize bullets and numbering, change margins and indents, resize columns, customize toolbars, and quickly insert commonly used text and graphics. You learn to create AutoText and AutoCorrect entries and use other quick keystrokes and shortcuts that save time.

Create & Modify Tables [Register]

A necessity for most Word 2000 users. Tables can be a nice alternative to setting tabs when you need text to appear in a column format. Use the borders and shading enhancements to jazz up your table or hide the lines and it looks like tabs on the printed page. Create an AutoText entry for your table to quickly insert it the next time you need it. Insert formulas in your table to sum up columns and rows. Be careful though. If you need more advanced formula capabilities, insert an Excel worksheet instead! $75 per participant (Includes Cheat Sheet)

Inserting Section Breaks [Register]

Do you need different margins or headers and footers in the same document? Then you need to use section breaks.  Learn to insert section breaks to divide your document into sections. Each section can then be formatted independently with unique margins, headers and footers, columns, etc. $75 per participant (Includes Cheat Sheet)

Creating and Applying Styles [Register]

Styles? They are a godsend in word processing. Styles can save you an unbelievable amount of time formatting documents. You simply combine a variety of paragraph and character formats, and save them under a style name. Select the style with a few clicks of the mouse and all the formats are applied in one step. Word 2000 uses styles to build upon a variety of other features like table of contents and outlining--So if you are not familiar with them, you are missing out on many other features too. $75 per participant (Includes Cheat Sheet)

Creating Forms & Templates [Register]

Don't use ordinary Word documents as templates.  You're missing out on lots of template features. Creating an actual template enables you to take advantage of form fields for consistent document completion. Templates enable you to incorporate check boxes, text fields and drop down fields into your form. In addition, templates can be protected to prevent your form from being modified by another user. Learn to draw tables to replicate a printed form in a Word template or document. $75 per participant (Includes Cheat Sheet)

Creating and Editing Macros [Register]

Do you create documents that have standard headers, footers and page numbering?  Create macros for repetitive tasks and assign them to run with simple click on the toolbar. $75 per participant (Includes Cheat Sheet)

Merging, Labels & Envelopes [Register]

If you need to set up mail merges and print envelopes and labels you must attend this seminar. Perform selective and conditional merges and print only the letters, labels or envelopes you need. Learn to set up the main document and quick tips to creating and sort your data file. Learn to preview the merged document before printing.  Also learn tips and guidelines to check for errors. $75 per participant (Includes Cheat Sheet)

Setting Tabs and Indents [Register]

Are you struggling with the indent marks on the ruler? After this seminar, tabs and indents will seem simple. Learn to set left, center, right, and decimal tabs in a document and inside a Word table. Use the ruler to move, delete, and modify tab settings. Use the indent marks on the ruler to indent paragraphs from the left and/or right margins and change margin settings entirely. $75 per participant (Includes Cheat Sheet)
